Materialized View
A materialized view stores the precomputed result of a query and keeps it refreshed, so repeated reads are fast instead of recalculating from the raw tables every time.
A materialized view is work done in advance: the query runs once, the answer is stored, and readers get it instantly. It is the lesson that speed is often a question of when you pay the cost, not whether.
The trade is freshness and storage. Know how the view updates, what happens when the source is corrected and who owns the refresh. Reach for this track when you finally turn a twelve-second tile into a fifty-millisecond one, and document how it stays true.
