The Room Where Nobody Shouts
An incident room is a shared channel or call for handling an outage, with assigned roles, a single lead, a running log and a calm tone, so coordination does not add to the damage.
An outage attracts opinions. The incident room is where they get organized: one lead, one person communicating, one running log, everyone else investigating what they were asked to. The Room Where Nobody Shouts is what good incident response looks like from the inside: short messages, stated facts and questions asked once.
Write the timeline down as it happens, separate the fix from the diagnosis and hold the blame conversation for the review, where it becomes a question about the system. Calm is a procedure before it is a temperament.
