One Page They'll Actually Read

A one-page report puts the conclusion, the few numbers that support it and the decision required on a single page, so a busy reader can act without opening an appendix.

Busy readers give a page very little time. One Page They’ll Actually Read is the design problem that follows: the conclusion on top, the three numbers that support it, one chart that shows the change and the decision you need from them. Everything else is a link.

Write it last, then cut a third. Replace adjectives with figures, date every number and say what you are unsure of. If the reader finishes the page and knows what to do, it worked.
