KPI After Dark
A KPI (key performance indicator) is a metric chosen to track progress toward a goal, such as monthly active users or revenue retention.
Nobody needs a KPI at midnight, and yet here you are, refreshing it. A key performance indicator earns its name by being the one number the organization agrees to watch. KPI After Dark is what that number does to the person who built it.
The grown-up response is to set an alert instead of a habit: define the threshold, route the notification and let the pipeline watch so you do not have to. Close the dashboard and trust the threshold.
