A rallying cry against static slide decks, meaning the monthly ritual of pasting screenshots into slides should give way to live, queryable answers that stay current.
A slide deck is a photograph of a number: accurate for an hour, then quietly wrong. Destroying Slide Decks is the ambition to stop pasting screenshots into rectangles and let people ask the live data instead.
This is not contempt for communication. A good narrative still matters. What should die is the manual copy step, the version nobody can trace and the meeting spent arguing which export is current. Play it when you rebuild last month’s deck and promise yourself it is the last time.
