Already Computed
A materialized view stores the result of a query so it can be read without recomputing, and its refresh policy decides how stale that stored answer may become.
The answer is already there, which is the whole charm of a stored query result. Already Computed is the materialized view as the reader experiences it: no waiting, because the work happened earlier, on the pipeline’s time instead of the dashboard’s.
The refresh policy is the contract. Some engines update the view as new rows arrive, others rebuild it on a schedule, and a few support both. Know which yours does, what a late correction does to it and publish the freshness beside the number.
