Where Visitors Wander Off

A funnel counts how many users reach each step of a path, such as visit, signup and purchase, so the step where most people leave becomes visible.

Visitors arrive in numbers and leave in a line: landing page, signup form, payment step, each with fewer people than the last. Where Visitors Wander Off is about reading that line step by step instead of staring at the final conversion, because the biggest loss is usually at one specific door.

Compare step-to-step rates, not just the total, and split by device, channel and new versus returning users. Set a fixed time window for completing the path, or slow buyers will look like leavers. Then read a few real sessions at the weak step.
