Retention Curve
A retention curve plots the share of a user cohort still active after each period since signup, and a curve that flattens means a loyal core remains.
Products lose users early. What matters is whether the loss stops. A retention curve answers that by charting the share of each signup cohort still active week after week, and the shape after the initial fall tells you whether there is a product worth keeping.
The track is for the moment the line bends and levels out, or the moment it refuses to. Both are information. Check the activity definition before you celebrate, since a loose definition of active can flatter any curve.
