PARTITION BY Vibe
In window functions, PARTITION BY defines the groups a function computes over, so each row gets a result relative to its own group while every row is still returned.
GROUP BY collapses rows; PARTITION BY keeps them. That single difference is why window functions feel generous: every row stays in the result and still learns where it stands within its own group, whether that is a rank, a running total or a gap from the previous value.
PARTITION BY Vibe is the personal-best version of analytics, measuring each account against its own history. Use it for first-order dates, latest-status picks and month-over-month changes. Choose the partition key carefully, since it decides who counts as a peer.
