Metrics Dont Lie
A confident claim that measured numbers are objective, which holds only when the metric is defined, collected and filtered correctly.
Metrics don’t lie, but definitions can, and so can filters, time zones and the join that quietly dropped a segment. The title is the confident version of the claim, minus the footnote the speaker skips: a number is honest only as long as its definition is.
Keep it for the review where you can walk the skeptic from dashboard tile to raw rows in three steps. That is the real test. A metric you can trace survives challenge, and a metric you cannot trace deserves one.
