Knock, Knock, 200 OK
An API endpoint is a URL that accepts requests and returns responses, and the HTTP status code, such as 200 for success, tells the caller how the request went.
An endpoint is a door with a URL. You knock with a request, and the server answers with a status code: 200 means it worked, 404 means nothing lives there, 500 means the house has a problem. Knock, Knock, 200 OK is the small joy of a clean handshake, the moment the integration you were wiring finally answers.
Read the codes properly. A 4xx means the caller erred, a 5xx means the server did and 429 means slow down. Check the body too, since a 200 can still carry an application-level error when an API is designed that way.
