Filter by Mood
A filter narrows a dataset to the rows matching a condition, such as a WHERE clause or a dashboard slicer, and the joke is applying it to feelings.
Analysis is a series of things you chose not to look at. Filter by Mood admits it: a WHERE clause is a mood, a slicer is a preference, and the whole exercise depends on saying the filter out loud so nobody mistakes the subset for the set.
It fits the moment you narrow a dashboard to one region, one quarter, one segment, and begin to see something. Good filtering is a form of taste. Good reporting is telling the reader exactly which filters were on.
