Clickthrough Rate Dreams

Clickthrough rate (CTR) is clicks divided by impressions, the share of people who saw something and acted on it, and dreaming of it is the marketing analyst's favorite daydream.

Clicks over impressions: the ratio sounds simple until you ask what counts as a click, which impressions were actually seen, and whether two percent is good or merely bot traffic. Clickthrough Rate Dreams lives in the gap between the number you hoped for and the one the campaign logged.

It suits the analyst rebuilding a funnel at the end of a long day, rounding nothing and promising nothing. Hope is fine, provided you define the denominator first.
